This is a 1-panel kit form aviary. On the flight part of aviaries,
I only count the roof panels, because
as far as I know, this is the best way to keep track of the size of the flight.
This was the smallest backyard aviary I have ever done, but it is my
standard size roof panel.
A nominal 3 feet x 6 feet rectangle. This one roof panel has six 3 feet x 7 feet wall panels.
Add one more roof panel and two more wall panels and you double the
size.

We have been talking about a free-standing aviary. If you use your
some of your home's existing exterior walls, and like for instance a existing concrete patio, you already have some of the biggest expenses taking care
of. The concrete floor has a slope, great for washing down the aviary with a
garden hose. One of the reasons we want the birds outside is they have been known to mess up a
home very quickly. Also a another big plus is you have an instant safety catch with the patio
doors. With just using the screen doors, you can still hear them sing. If
you live in an extreme winter climate just cover the panels of the
aviary in the winter with acrylic wall panels. This will let the sun through and then you can heat it
also if your climate is too severe in your area of the country.
The following photographs are of my standard size wall and roof
panels. It is a free-standing kit form aviary with 5 roof panels. This is a before photo. The owners built the deck after
ordering; I just provided the size curb to build.

I just delivered the 14 wall panels and 5 roof panels. The home owners
installed the kit form themselves in a few hours. It sure is fun to watch other people work.

Bolting up the roof panels. This is very strong construction
because it is welded at each intersection of the heavy gage wire and is perfectly squared at 90 degrees.

The finished installation. The home owners did interior landscape
with a free standing fountain, sand areas under the trees, and then plants and grass. I am sure
the finches are very happy. The lady of the home reported many baby birds delivered in the aviary.
